This one features these colorful balloon These took a good part of the day to complete. It was much more intensive than I thought it would be. Each balloon has areas were they appear solid and other areas with varying degree of transparency and translucency. I wanted to take the time to give each area the correct texture. It is a 5x7 color pencil painting. Why am I calling it a painting if it is a color pencil drawing? Because, it is done in layers with the color pencil and then using mineral spirits to spread out the color with a brush or swab giving it a washed effect, more like painting than your typical color pencil effect."
